Ballot papers for the NEC election will be sent to party members between 10 and 14 July with website voting due to be available online from 14 July.
The ballot closes at 5pm on 18 August.

The Centre-Left Grassroots Alliance is promoting candidates who will stand up for party members and for the progressive policies needed to win in 2015.

The NEC congratulated newly-elected councillors and MEPs and thanked members, trade unions and party staff for their hard work. In July David Sparks will become Chair of the Local Government Association, as Labour is now the largest group, and he hoped to welcome Ed Miliband to their annual conference. The figures showed significant swings from the Tories and strong performances in marginal seats and in London.  Labour made net gains of 338 councillors and seven additional MEPs, taking the total to 20, the third-largest national contingent in the Socialists and Democrats group.

Centre Left candidates for Labour’s executive launch their campaign Print E-mail

Six candidates backed by the Centre Left Grassroots Alliance today launched their campaign to be elected to Labour’s national executive committee as constituency party representatives. Constituency parties have until 20 June to make up to six nominations.

Report of CLPD Annual General Meeting 2014 Print E-mail

CLPD held its Annual General Meeting, its 41st, on Saturday 29 March at Conway Hall in central London. Over 80 CLPD members and supporters attended, with a noticeable increase in younger members, and there was much discussion and debate on the way forward for the Labour Party (LP).
